Rijksakademie Residents

As a personal contribution to all residents and the residency, I made a series of portraits of my fellow residents in their studio. Half of this particular group started their residency right before the first lockdown in March 2020 and continued during the pandemic, the other half arrived in September 2021 when corona was still defining our daily lives. During all lockdowns, these studios luckily remained to be accessible. A private space that usually remains unseen by the outside world. This project was a way to regain connection with each other during a time of virtual encounters and isolation.
